I love going to Ivar's! The food is always freshly fried, usually so hot I'm unable to eat it immediately. The prices are the best you'll find for seafood. I haven't eaten in yet, as I'm usually returning home from a trip to Seattle. My only complaint is the time I've spent waiting in the drive through. Once the wait was so long I thought they were catching the shrimp for my order.
Some might put this in fast food category, but my husband and I don't. We usually get a salad with our main dish instead of fries and a cup of their wonderful chowder. I love the red chowder, but my husband prefers the white. The service is wonderful; cheerful, helpful. They seem happy you've come to visit them. The music adds to the experience. All in all, we leave feeling happy and full and healthy.

Great tasting and reasonable price for fish-n-chips and clam chowders! Their battered cod is flakey and fresh and the fries are hot and crispy as if they personally fry up a batch of your chips/fries per order! Definitely my goto place for fish-n-chips!!
